05/10/2008 from 9 am to 3 pm: Walk for the Wetlands. Fundraising event for trail maintenance and upkeep. Download your sponsor sheet by clicking the PDF icon.
Join our fun walk, go for a record. Walk at your own pace, walk with friends. Set your own goal to help our Mary E. Theler Community Center and Wetland Trails! You can start any time between the allotted walking hours. You can choose to walk part or all of the trail. Check-in and late registration is at the beginning of the trail next to the community center. Download your registration form here.
The wetland walk is open to all community members. The route is approximately 3 miles. Rest and water areas will be located at the beginning and at mile post 1.25 on the trail. There are also benches along the way.
Please register early at Theler Community Center with your Event T-shirt size. Sponsorships totalling $30 or more earn a free T-shirt.
Money from sponsors may be turned in before the event, the day of the event or up to one week after the event.

05/10/2008: Theler Family BINGO. Time: 6 to 8 PM. Bring the whole family and play BINGO for fun and exciting prizes. Bingo cards are only 50 cents each and you may play as many or as few as you'd like each game. Snacks and beverages available.
05/24/2008: Theler Community Center Parking Lot Sale. Good, useable donations wanted for the rummage sale. (No large applicances, clothes or electronics please) Sale starts at 9 am. Call Theler office at 275-4898 for more information, or email theler@hctc.com
05/30/2008: Guided Bird Walks on Wetland Trails. Guided Bird Walks start from the Exhibit Center the last Friday of each month. The tour leaves promptly at 9AM. Dress for the weather! Bring a friend or come on your own, all are welcome. For more information call 275-4898.
06/14/2008: "Death on the Mound" Mystery Dinner. In 1944, good baseball players were in short supply as men served their country as part of the war effort, and women stepped in to fill the rosters of America's Game. When the "Boston Odd Sox" play the "Chicago Cheeky Chicks", someone will die... Tickets to this mystery dinner are $20 each and must be purchased by June 10! Parts available! A day to bring your dog, enjoy the Green at Theler. Shop for dog items, enjoy some good entertainment and chat with other dog lovers. Highlights: Micro chip clinic; Canine Good Citizen testing; "Ask the Trainer" booth; fun games for you and your dog!
